A newly published book named “Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House” by American author Michael Wolff has been the cream of the crop for the past two days as the 336-page book exposes what it feels like to be in the White House with current president Donald Trump. The book has put Steve Bannon, former Chief Strategist at the White House, a post created by Trump, under the spotlight as the book shows Bannon’s views on the White House, the president and the first family, with a damning view on the billionaire President’s daughter, Ivanka Trump and his son-in-law, Jared Kushner.
HIGHLIGHTS OF THE BOOK
Michael Wolff in his book claims that his book is based on about 200 interviews, of which contains quotes from Steve Bannon, and Katie Walsh who was briefly Trump’s White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Implementation. Wolff has called Mr. Trump the least credible person who has ever walked on earth.
According to the book, Steve Bannon says that Ivanka and Kushner had a debate (or argument) about who will be president and it was settled that Ivanka will run for president.
Trump and his lawyer have threatened legal action against the sale and distribution of the book and have also said the book is “phony” and “full of lies”.
The book also has a view on the Russian interference in the elections, where it says that Donald Trump Jr. met with Russian operatives at the Trump Tower, which resulted in the ultimate release and public humiliation of Trump’s rival and former First Lady and Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton.
The Trump presidency has been marred by scandals ever since his inauguration on the 20th of January last year. Presently, there are investigations into possible Russian interference in the 2016 general elections, which has involved James Comey, immediate former FBI Director and Robert Mueller, the 6th FBI director and predecessor to Comey.
