Former AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain striker, George Weah has been sworn in as the new President of Liberia. He will be the 25th President of the west African nation. He takes over from Ellen Johnson-Sirleaf, the first woman to be elected into the highest office of any country in Africa after she ruled for 11 years, from 2006 to 2017.
It is the first democratic transfer of power in the West African state in more than 70 years.
